The Seeing Eye Dog (Part 1)

A few days back I had a fairly complicated flight reservation that involved multi-country stopovers as well as the use of a Expedia coupon, since I wanted to practice my Japanese, I ended calling Expedia Japan... I will NEVER do this again.

ジョンさん、ちょっと確認下さい。[OK John, just to confirm, you will be going from Taiwan to Narita tomorrow, then on 11/30 you will be flying from Tokyo Narita to Detroit. Is that correct?]

そうです。「Yes, that's correct. I also want to apply that 30000 Yen coupon that I got last month from you guys.]

かしこまりました。ちょっとまって下さい。[OK. Let me check the coupon validity.]

A couple minutes later she comes back on the line.

チケットの価格は１３１２３円です。凄いです！この予約は安いですね！ [The total ticket price is about $120. That's unbelievable... really cheap.]

そうでね！予約しよう！　「It is, let's do it!] I replied.

ジョンさんはチケットの買うは上手です。「You're really skillful at buying tickets!]

違います！　「That's not true.] I replied 僕は ”blind luck” があるんです！　[It was just "blind luck".]

そうですか。了解です。[Really? I understand] she replied.

After a few seconds, she finished the reservation, and we finished the call. I didn't think much about the incident for a few a hours, until I got the confirmation Email from Japan Airlines.
