While preparing to board the flight back to Honolulu from Molokai last night, I was in line with a 5-6 year old kid along with his parents. As with most kids now-a-days, he was totally engrossed with his Iphone. Every 2-3 minutes was a request to "Siri" to either play music or check on something (I told him about Gen X, Johnny Carson and Anthony Bourdain ... he didn't know anything about these things and had to ask Siri)
What was interesting to me, was that he was SO POLITE to Siri ... each time he asked it something he would always reply with "Thank you Siri, have a good day ... "
Eventually I asked him why he was being so nice? His response made my day ...
"John, when the machines take over our world, you will regret not being polite to them!"
