I recently posted a piece on my dad... and that got me thinking about a scene in the classic Comedy/Drama Series My Name is Earl.
For those of you that aren't familiar with this show .. the basic premise is this:
The main character, Earl Hickey, realizes that he has lead a really horrible life and screwed numerous people.
He then makes a LIST of all the people he's wronged and attempts to make amends with each.
The series touches on some pretty philosophical concepts such as Karma and predestination as it explores his character development and its effect on everyone around him.
One of my favorite episode is in Season 1 Episode 18 - Dad's Car.
In it, Earl realizes that he stole his dad's car and attempts to make amends by returning and repairing the vehicle. However, he then realizes that his dad had intended for them to rebuild the car together....
For me, it was a very touching scene, and easily one of the best in the entire series.
